my first thanksgiving

i am so thankful for my wonderful family, all the great things i get to do every day, and most of all, for fruit! i love fruit! if only mommy and daddy would let me substitute apples for peas and pears for sweet potatoes, i would be the happiest baby ever!
here i am wearing my great-grandfather's baby dress - hard to believe that my great-great-grandmother found time to tat all this lace when there was no running water or electricity, not to mention rubber pants for baby diapers!

playing with my cousin skylar

a good one of me with unk b and auntie te te

granny had a knack for getting me to eat my peas, notice the hand behind my neck ready to give me a little squeeze when i didn't readily open up

hah! i can already stand up on my own (or at least it appears that way)

six months old!

it's been a while since i've posted so here are a few from the past couple of weeks. uncle ric came by for a visit and read me a bedtime story.my first taste of sweet potatoes. not sure about them in the beginning...

but, maybe they're not so bad. we'll see what they give me next.

and, here i am on my half birthday opening a present from daddy with mommy's help.
christmas socks!

i had my six month check-up and i remain tall and thin - 13 lbs 11 ozs and 26 inches long. the doctor wants me eating three meals a day by nine months so i have some work to do. i'll let you know what my favorite foods are soon.

halloween! (and cousin ashley and a highchair)

and another week goes by with so much excitement. had to start with this one because i can't resist, i am so darn cute.
halloween - i loved being a carrot although everyone thought i was a pumpkin. it was fun passing out candy with mommy and daddy and there were so many great costumes on parade.

my cousin ashley came for a visit, we rested a lot and i played with her fingers. here i am much more interested in my rooster than in her, but that was just for a short moment.

mommy and daddy got me a highchair and set it up this weekend on "hazel day" (they also lowered my crib and built my toy box). i am loving feeling so independent when i eat now.

have i told you i am a rock star pianist? now you know.

whew, what a week!

what a week... my grammy ginna and grampa gary were in visiting, i had a fun playdate with brooks, and then i got to try rice cereal. blechh! i was not impressed. it has seemed to help mommy get more sleep though, so i'm trying to like it. i'll let you know how it goes.
what are you doing to me?

still not sure even in daddy's arms

holding hands with brooks

i am a tired little boxer

loving daddy

daddy made me promise to put up this picture of me and mommy sleeping in on her day off... she wasn't so sure but i think it's funny, us sleeping the same way

spending the weekend with pops and granny

i had a fantastic weekend with my pops and granny. we did a lot of hanging out around the house playing, and today we went to loveless for a good old southern breakfast (well, i didn't really eat, but everyone said the food was fantastic). it was a pretty fall day and i will miss them now that they've gone home.
practicing sitting up on my own

daddy taught me about fruit, can't wait to try some

oh, fall in new hampshire!

so, last weekend we went to new hampshire to see my great auntie barbara and uncle bob, meet my cousins, and spend some time with mommy and daddy's friends the solins. not to mention they wanted to show me what fall was all about in new england. on our flight out i had a little problem with my disposable diapers. i have grown so much that the ones mommy put on me weren't quite capable of containing all i have to offer. and of course, mommy and daddy forgot to pack a spare outfit in my diaper bag. needless to say, i was quite the looker for the rest of the flight... the best part was i got a one-of-a-kind "house of blues" t-shirt at midway airport! here i am with daddy at the burrito shack modeling my fall fashions
the weather was so perfect, mommy and daddy finally took me to a playground and as you can see i love swings and slides. more, more, more!

on friday night i went to an early thanksgiving dinner with auntie barbara and all her family. it was a joyous time. the girls loved doting on me and my cousin kate was very knowledgeable about how to hold me and make sure i was safe... i got a bit lost in all their antics but i learned i can be a lot louder than i previously realized!

can you spot my pacifier?

kate and sara and evie all gave me loving head pats throughout the night

here i am with daddy and uncle dave and ben... ben shared lots of his old toys with me and i can't wait to go back and play with his trucks when i'm a little bigger
